A new Blog for EXTENDE
  EXTENDE begins.
Driven by our desire to create a closer relationship with the CIVA users and by our mission of sharing knowledge with the NDT community, it seemed natural, after a few years of business, to increase our presence on the web and provide you with more room to express yourself. Thus, following the overhaul of our website, all the team is very proud to announce to you the release of our Blog on http://blog.extende.com/.

Patch soon available
Dear CIVA customers, the “PATCH A” for CIVA 2015 version will be released next month (June 2015). Four months after the distribution of CIVA 2015, this patch will fix various issues related to data analysis and modeling. Even if the exact content is not yet confirmed, you can read about some topics which should be improved with this patch on our blog.
You will also receive from EXTENDE all necessary information to download and install this patch as soon as it is officially available.

We value your opinion
In the framework of our effort to improve the quality of our products and services, we would appreciate receiving the opinion of all CIVA users (on CIVA, our support and our services).
If you too, feel a part of the CIVA community, help us and take just a few minutes to answer our five slide query. We value your opinion and we thank you in advance for your feedback.

Interview: Mr. Ivan Castro & Ms. Iratxe Aispurua Maestre
In the frame of an R&D project with the CEA on EMAT development, IDEKO is using a Beta version of CIVA software to help build its development. They took the opportunity of their visit in Saclay to visit EXTENDE’s premises.
Kindly find their interview under this link.
Dear Mr. Castro and Ms. Aizpurua, you bought a CIVA license in 2013, UT and ET modules. As far as I understand, you are using EMAT probes in R&D projects. Could you please let us know which kind of EMAT probes you are simulating and for which kind of applications?

Next conferences coming up soon
As a worldwide company, EXTENDE intends to take part in most of the major NDT events around the globe. This summer, as usual a list of conferences are planned. You will be able to meet with us in:

CIVA Tip: ET calibration

As for real inspections, a simulation project needs to be properly calibrated versus a reference flaw to provide meaningful results. CIVA includes the tools to define such calibration reference. This Tip focuses on how to calibrate a result in the Eddy Current module of CIVA. The first step is to describe the reference flaw (as a calibration mock-up) and to simulate its signal in order to compute the relevant calibration gain and phase rotation coefficients to create the reference signal defined in the procedure...
