Mr. Jeremie Gaine joined our team two months ago. After working during 18 months in the aeronautic area, he joined the support and consulting team.

Research and Development

In the framework of the FP7 european research program, EXTENDE is now part of a european Research and Development project called Simposium.

It aims to improve time-to-production and time-to-market, by making possible virtual testing at the earliest stages of the part design. The projects will make different numerical tools available in a common software platform, allowing manufacturers to adress NDE in the most efficient way possible.

Emphasis will be put on efficient coupling strategies between numerical and semi-analytical models. Further communication will be available in the future, a dedicated web site will be realized by EXTENDE.

Extende is part of the two main clusters: Mov'eo and Systematic. Mov'eo is dedicated to the automobile and public transport sectors, while Systematic is dedicated to the digital revolution, which is branching out into other areas, including health, security, and the automotive industry as well.

CIVA TIP: Display cumulated views for phased-array inspections
When performing a phased-array inspection involving different sequences or shots for one or several mechanical scanning position, you can cumulate the views from all "Scan" or true "Bscan" in a single image.

Extende, Civa Tip

To activate this cumulated view, one just needs to select the "data tools" option available in the title bar of the true Bscan or Sscan image and click on the following icons:

Extende, Civa Tip

For both of these options, the resulting image contains the complete data displayed in the image. “Merged” image means that, for each pixel of the image, the amplitude displayed corresponds to the maximum amplitude obtained in this region (if several shots correspond to this location), whereas “Mean Merged” image corresponds to the average of all shots for each pixel of the image.
"Merged image": cumulated view for all mechanical position and sectorial scanning position (maximum amplitude displayed)
"Merged image": cumulated view for all mechanical position and sectorial scanning position (average of all shots)
