{"id":306,"date":"2016-04-19T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/blog\/earth-day-2016\/"},"modified":"2016-04-19T22:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-04-19T20:00:00","slug":"earth-day-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/fr\/blog\/earth-day-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Earth Day 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday, April the 22nd is\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">Earth Day!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>As part of\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">our commitment to environmental sustainability<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span>\u00a0is certified in accordance with\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">ISO 14001:2004<\/span>.\u00a0 In addition to the many steps taken by\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span>\u00a0to be a\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">good global citizen<\/span>, employees and their families have come up with some creative ways to \u201c<span class=\"g-color3\">Reduce, Reuse, Recycle<\/span>\u201d at home.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>One of these is the\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">creation of papier m\u00e2che sculptures<\/span>. The mother of\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE Inc<\/span>.,\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">Vice President Erica Schumacher\u00a0<\/span>reuses old newspapers to create beautiful papier m\u00e2che sculptures, complete with a patina that gives the\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">illusion of antique copper<\/span>. \u00a0When possible, she even reuses objects such as bottles or coat hangers to create the forms on which the sculptures are built.\u00a0 This carousel horse and baseball player are examples of just two of the many sculptures she has made.\u00a0 Other creations include cats, turtles, fish, heron, and abstracts.\u00a0 Many adorn her home, while others are occasionally\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">sold in local art galleries<\/span>\u00a0and at\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">l<\/span><span class=\"g-color2\">ocal art festivals<\/span>.\u00a0 She also occasionally teaches workshops on this\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">eco-friendly form of art work<\/span>, helping people learn to create their own\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">recycled art<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span>\u00a0team<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"281\" height=\"400\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/licorne.jpg\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/licorne.jpg 281w, https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/licorne-211x300.jpg 211w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 281px) 100vw, 281px\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"264\" height=\"400\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball_man.jpg\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball_man.jpg 264w, https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball_man-198x300.jpg 198w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friday, April the 22nd is\u00a0Earth Day!
