Its goal? Improve the performance of materials currently used in\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">additive manufacturing<\/span>\u00a0and design new solutions aimed at cost and sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"g-color2\"><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Developing tomorrow&rsquo;s 3D printing<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Still at its beginnings, additive 3D printing requires\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">adjustments in both cost and optimization<\/span>. The process in progress is based on a broad spectrum of technologies developed by the CEA, in particular on additive materials, processes,<span class=\"g-color1\">\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">non-destructive testing<\/span><\/span>, numerical optimization, powder safety, and post -processing of parts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>As for Prodways, the company will benefit from the CEA&rsquo;s tools, notably its\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">Poudr&rsquo;Innov 2.0<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">Nano-caracterisation<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">Nano S\u00e9curit\u00e9 platforms<\/span>\u00a0in Grenoble but also in Saclay (<span class=\"g-color3\">Gerim platform<\/span>\u00a0for non- Destructive and the Platform Manufacturing Additive project).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The ultimate goal is to improve the performance of materials used in additive manufacturing while designing less costly and sustainable solutions.<br \/>\n\u00ab\u00a0This partnership, through its first results on\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">metal printing<\/span>, allows us to imagine new applications for a growing 3D printing market,\u00a0\u00bb says Alban d&rsquo;Halluin, CEO of Prodways.
