Have a look at his\u00a0testimonial below:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00bb Software platform\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>\u00a0was installed in\u00a0<span class=\"g-color3\">Tomsk Polytechnic University<\/span>\u00a0in December, 2015. The reason for that was the necessity of T<span class=\"g-color3\">omsk Open Laboratory for Material Inspection (TOLMI)<\/span>\u00a0in universal software for NDT result simulation.\u00a0 Based of Laboratory requirements, the following modules have been acquired:<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span class=\"g-color1\">Ultrasound testing<\/span>\u00a0module;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span class=\"g-color1\">Radiography-Tomography<\/span>\u00a0module.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In March 2016 the Laboratory staff has been trained to use\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>. During the workshop theoretical bases of the software platform were given briefly, but emphasis was made upon practical use. \u00a0The tasks were prepared in a manner that allowed getting practical knowledge on all features of\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>. \u00a0Besides, the tutor\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">Roman Fernandez,<\/span>\u00a0who is development manager of\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span>\u00a0company, was always there to get feedback on all questions arisen and ready to help with all issues that we had while task execution. \u00a0Thus, the workshop allowed TOLMI staff to have got basic knowledge on software\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>\u00a0features, opportunities and fileds of its application.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>Besides, in June, 2016 there was software platform\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA\u00a0<\/span>upgrade. It is important to notice that we received full support for making this possible, which is why the upgrade transition was trouble-free.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>By far, software platform\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>\u00a0upgrade has been applied for the problem solving as follows:<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>choice of experiment\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">optimal parameters<\/span>\u00a0in UT NDT field;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span class=\"g-color2\">verification of algorithms<\/span>\u00a0for ultrasound imaging developed at\u00a0 TOLMI;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>verification of algorithms for computer tomography developed at\u00a0 TOLMI.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Based on the challenges the Laboratory has faced, submodule Inspection Simulation has been actively used (Ultrasonic Testing module), submodule CT Simulation has been actively used (module Radiography-Tomography).\u00a0<span class=\"g-color2\">CIVA has proved itself as powerful and universal tool for NDT result simulation<\/span>.\u00a0 The most important feature of the software is a\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">wide choice of standard geometries<\/span>\u00a0of tested objects. If there is no suitable one, your own CAD-file can be uploaded. The second important feature defining utmost performance of platform CIVA is\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">the possibility to use the vast majority of defects<\/span>\u00a0found in NDT practice. The third important feature is the ability to\u00a0<span class=\"g-color1\">export data from the CIVA software package<\/span>\u00a0that makes it possible to work with it in other programs.
