{"id":404,"date":"2019-04-08T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/blog\/extende-delivered-its-first-reliability-in-nde-training-session-in-english\/"},"modified":"2025-06-24T18:52:17","modified_gmt":"2025-06-24T16:52:17","slug":"extende-delivered-its-first-reliability-in-nde-training-session-in-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/fr\/blog\/extende-delivered-its-first-reliability-in-nde-training-session-in-english\/","title":{"rendered":"EXTENDE delivered its first \u00ab\u00a0Reliability in NDE\u00a0\u00bb training session in English"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> delivered its first session of the <span class=\"g-color2\">Reliability in NDE<\/span> training in <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"19\" height=\"19\" alt=\"English\" class=\"drapeaux alignnone wp-image-398\" src=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/actu-en.png\" style=\"vertical-align:top;\"> English from April 9<sup>th<\/sup> to 11<sup>th<\/sup> 2019 with international attendees, including <span class=\"g-color3\">Mariana Burrowes<\/span> from the <span class=\"g-color3\">Federal University of Rio de Janeiro<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color3\">Ed Ginzel<\/span> from <span class=\"g-color3\">Materials Research Institute<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"g-color3\">Ed Ginzel<\/span> expressed his thoughts about this training:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI would like to recommend EXTENDE for introducing training in Reliability in NDE. I attended the English version of the course in April 2019. This course is an excellent foundation in the use of probabilistic analysis to assess the suitability of an NDE technique. Underlying principles involved in the quantification of reliability were provided in the lectures, and the practical exercises provided us with opportunity to use multiple software packages with realistic data sets to generate probability curves and analyse the associated confidence intervals.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>In addition, the course addresses North American, European and International codes and standards that require the determination of NDE reliability.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>I would recommend this course for those wanting to learn methods to develop a feasibility study or to augment a formal technical justification using industry-accepted probability tools.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The session has been hosted by <span class=\"g-color3\">Fabrice Foucher<\/span> assisted by <span class=\"g-color3\">Bastien Clausse<\/span>, and our partners <span class=\"g-color3\">Antoine Dumas<\/span> from <span class=\"g-color3\">PHIMECA<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color3\">Pierre Calmon<\/span> from <span class=\"g-color3\">CEA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"g-color2\">next session<\/span> in <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"19\" height=\"19\" alt=\"English\" class=\"drapeaux alignnone wp-image-398\" src=\"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/actu-en.png\" style=\"vertical-align:top;\"> English will be organized from October 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 17<sup>th<\/sup> 2019 in our head office in Massy.
