At that time, <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE Inc.<\/span>\u00a0was located in Ballston Spa, NY, U.S.A.. <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE S.A.<\/span> had one office in Orsay, France and the entire <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> team was just 9 people. <span class=\"g-color2\">Now there are 15 people on the<\/span> <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> <span class=\"g-color2\">team<\/span>, with 3 offices in France, and a relocation of the <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE Inc.<\/span> office to Norfolk, Virginia, U.S.A., putting us much closer to our customers in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, our only product was <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> (<span class=\"g-color2\">UT<\/span>, <span class=\"g-color2\">ET<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color2\">RT<\/span> modules), and our services were limited to training and simulation-based consulting. Ten years later, <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> has continued to evolve, and additional modules have been released (<span class=\"g-color2\">CT<\/span>, <span class=\"g-color2\">GWT<\/span>, <span class=\"g-color2\">SHM<\/span>, <span class=\"g-color2\">Script<\/span>), new <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> based products have been created including <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> <span class=\"g-color3\">Education<\/span> (<span class=\"g-color2\">UT<\/span>, <span class=\"g-color2\">ET<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color2\">RT<\/span>) and <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> <span class=\"g-color2\">UT Analysis<\/span>. More recently, EXTENDE has released its first two training simulators, <span class=\"g-color1\">TraiNDE<\/span> <span class=\"g-color2\">UT<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color1\">TraiNDE<\/span> <span class=\"g-color3\">RT<\/span>, designed to revolutionize the way hands-on NDT is taught. Of course, we are more than ever available for simulation-based consulting and training classes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Contributing to the NDT community in the U.S.A. and Canada, <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE\u00a0Inc.<\/span> <span class=\"g-color2\">V.P. Erica Schumacher<\/span> regularly supports key NDT conferences in this region via exhibits, presentations and occasionally conference sponsorship. At the 2019 <span class=\"g-color3\">CINDE<\/span> annual conference, <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> was one of a few companies honored with the <span class=\"g-color3\">2019 NDT in Canada Exhibitor Appreciation Award<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Our 10<sup>th<\/sup> year of business started in the middle of a world-wide pandemic that led to changes in the way we all do business. Training classes that have always been taught in person have since been taught virtually, while the one in-person class taught last year included a student attending remotely from another location. Interest increased in our education software <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> <span class=\"g-color3\">Education<\/span> as NDT instructors looked for more engaging ways to teach the physics of NDT remotely. While some of us already worked from home, many others did so for the first time. All of us had lots of opportunities to use web meeting technologies and hone our skills at virtual meetings and presentations.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Looking to the future, we see our business in North America growing, and our presence there growing to meet the increasing demand for our products and services. <span class=\"g-color2\">One thing that will remain the same is our commitment to work together with our customers to help make the world a safer place.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> team.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On August 8th, 2011, EXTENDE Inc. opened for business in the U.S.A., supporting our customers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
