{"id":514,"date":"2022-07-20T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/blog\/validation-of-civa-models\/"},"modified":"2025-06-24T18:52:17","modified_gmt":"2025-06-24T16:52:17","slug":"validation-of-civa-models","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.extende.com\/fr\/blog\/validation-of-civa-models\/","title":{"rendered":"Validation of CIVA models"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> validation tests are constantly being performed, a specific effort has been done by the <span class=\"g-color3\">CEA<\/span> and <span class=\"g-color1\">EXTENDE<\/span> teams in the period 2010-2017 in comparing a lot of simulation results obtained by <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> UT (and also ET and RT) with experimental trials. These results (published on our website and also in different conference papers) <span class=\"g-color2\">give credit to the accuracy of<\/span> <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> <span class=\"g-color2\">models in many situations<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The goal of this work was also to highlight the discrepancies observed when reaching the limitations of semi-analytical models, so that users can be aware about validity domains of <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Release after release, <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> includes new features but also <span class=\"g-color2\">new models<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In particular, new FEM models have been integrated recently in <span class=\"g-color1\">CIVA<\/span> UT, which lead us to update some of our validation works in order to evaluate the improvement brought by these new models.
