2020

Best wishes

The EXTENDE team wishes you a wonderful year 2020.

NDT is heading into this new year (and decade!) with a brand new CIVA version, as well as a new and innovative tool from our passionate team: TraiNDE UT. These make for a great start, but rest assured that we, at EXTENDE, will be committed as ever to bring more to the NDE community. Building a safer future requires to design the right tools today, and with that in mind, we wish you a happy 2020!

TraiNDE UT

The first version of TRAINDE UT, the innovative virtual simulator for the training of NDT inspectors, was officially released and delivered to our first customers last September. A new 1.1 version is expected to be released at the beginning of February. This new version mainly integrates significant new features for the interactivity management with the tactile screen. More information will be coming soon.

CIVA 2020 released, upcoming webinars

CIVA 2020

CIVA 2020 has been released last November and has been delivered to all users with a valid maintenance contract. We hope you enjoy this new version. We have made a few posts on our blog and on LinkedIn to introduce some of the new features, such as integrated tool for DAC curves and TCG computation, further integration of FEM tools within CIVA UT, dedicated environment for nozzle UT inspection, linear scan module in RT and CT, new defect profiles in ET, and more.

You will also have the opportunity to discover this new release in more details during the free online webinars we will be holding soon.
Come join us on the 18th February at 9 a.m. CET, or on the 20th February at 5 p.m. CET. You can register here. During these one hour sessions, we will present to you the capabilities of CIVA, and you will be able to interact via the chat and ask questions at the end of the presentation.

Have a look at the current list of events we are sure to be at! We will keep it updated with any new conference that will show up in our planning as more information becomes available.

CIVA Tip: Detector degradation for a Monte-Carlo calculation

CIVA Tip

A new feature has been developed in CIVA RT/CT to reduce the calculation time of configurations that take into account the Monte-Carlo calculation (contribution of scattered radiation). It is now possible to degrade the resolution of the detector during the Monte-Carlo calculation and to merge this result with the result obtained by the Beer-Lambert calculation (contribution of direct radiation) for which the detector is not degraded [...] Read more
