| The EXTENDE team wishes you a great year 2024! 2024 is our 15th year of existence — 15 years acting as an independent company bringing the benefits of simulation and innovation to all the NDT community worldwide, through our products CIVA and TraiNDE, and our training and consulting services. This year, we will soon release new versions of TraiNDE UT and TraiNDE RT. Great improvements are also in development in CIVA and CIVA Education, we'll keep you informed! And for the first time, our "Reliability in NDE" training course is being offered in the USA. We thank you for your confidence and are excited to work with you soon on the success of your projects as together we make the world a safer place! |

The entire EXTENDE team is very happy to welcome Daryl Ouédraogo to our headquarters in Massy. Daryl, an engineering graduate from ENSTA Paris, pursued doctoral studies at Southampton University (United Kingdom) with a specialization in aeroacoustics. We once again seize the opportunity to welcome someone who brings a new outlook on things, who will challenge us, and thus further push us toward improvement and innovation among our team. Daryl will be working with our technical support and consulting teams, and will undoubtedly quickly become a CIVA trainer as well. |

| TraiNDE UT v1.4 available soon | ||
|
A new release of the first virtual mock-up for NDE inspectors will soon be available, and will be delivered to our current users. This new version makes the interface significantly more user-friendly, adds session management with export/import capabilities, enhances the flaw detector, improves the dummy probe detection, and makes the user experience more intuitive, educative, and comprehensive. Digital training has never been so close to reality! |

)| The first "Reliability in NDE" training session in North America | ||
|
For the past five years, EXTENDE has been offering a training program focused on "Reliability in NDE". Now, for the first time, we are offering an intercompany session to be held in the U.S.A.! In addition to covering essential theoretical concepts, this training incorporates extensive workshops and discussions centered on qualification, POD, and sensitivity analysis methodologies in NDE. We underscore the significant potential of simulation tools to generate the pertinent and extensive datasets necessary in this context. More information about this training program is available on our dedicated webpage. We will be happy to welcome attendees to this course from the U.S. and Canada in our EXTENDE Inc. office in Newport News, VA, U.S.A., from April 24th to 26th 2024. |

| CIVA Tip: Complex components in CIVA SHM | ||

The SHM module of CIVA 2023 enables the simulation of the monitoring by Guided Waves of more complex specimen shapes compared to what was available before, such as elbows, sleeves and components with several curved sections. However, the "Specimen" panel in the CIVA GUI still only includes two geometries: Planar or Cylinder. Indeed, these complex components are built from initial profiles of planar and tubular specimens.
