| Best wishes |

The EXTENDE team wishes you a happy and successful year 2026!
2025 was a major step forward for CIVA with the introduction of a "Full" FEM module in the UT module with the release of CIVA 2025. It was also an intense year regarding our training activity, with nearly 200 people attending our CIVA and "Reliability in NDE" classes!
In 2026, new developments will continue to improve our products. TraiNDE will be enhanced to enable monitoring trainees' practice remotely.
Through our products, our consulting and training services, our energy remains focused to help the NDT community perform high quality and innovative NDT, which will continue to make the world safer and to preserve the environment.
We thank you for your confidence, and look forward to meeting you at some of the many international NDE events EXTENDE will attend this year! |

| CIVA 2025 SP1 has been released |
| |

|
|
A service pack for CIVA 2025 has been released this month: CIVA 2025 SP1.
This update mainly includes some corrections in the different simulation modules.
Our users with a valid maintenance contract can download patch SP1 here (the password is CIVA_2025_SP1). |
| CIVA Edu2: Explore NDT Physics through Interactive Simulation! |
| |

|
|
Teaching the theoretical aspects of NDT remains challenging: limited time, complex and "hidden" phenomena involved, many different techniques, numerous input parameters... The simple, realistic, and interactive interface of CIVA Education addresses these challenges and makes typical NDT results easier to understand.
A new version of CIVA Education is now available: CIVA Education v2 features a new Guided Wave Testing module, along with enhanced features in the ET, RT, and UT modules, as well as a more user-friendly interface.
You can read our blog article for a more detailed description of this new version. Contact us for a demo! |
| EXTENDE's ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications have been renewed |
| |

|
|
Formed 16 years ago, EXTENDE has been ISO9001 certified continuously for 14 years already, and ISO14001 certified for 12 years.
EXTENDE built its organization from the early stages to ensure that customer needs are clearly understood, accepted and fulfilled. These certifications also demonstrate our commitment for the environment: the simulation of NDE inspection helps to develop more efficient NDE, and therefore reduces the risk of environmental disasters, while also limiting the environmental impact of NDT itself (less mock-ups, less waste, etc.).
These renewed certifications are a testament to our continuous commitment to deliver good quality and efficient services to our customers. |
| Cybersecurity at EXTENDE |
| |

|
|
EXTENDE SA has significantly reinforced its cyber and IT security during 2025. From Digital Secured Signatures to a complete backup strategy based on ISO 321, from a secured computer room to crypted files, in these unsecured days, our customers' data security and integrity is our priority.
Our IT security policy has been improved so that our customers can benefit from our NDT services with confidence that their data remains protected and unaltered. |

| CIVA Tip: CIVA 2025 new feature, Porosities cluster |
| |

|
|
A new feature of CIVA 2025 allows you to define a cluster of porosities as a single defect, eliminating the need to create dozens or hundreds of individual spherical defects within the CIVA interface.
To do so, the user must define a bounding box that contains all the porosities.
Then, the minimum and maximum sizes of the porosities must be specified, along with the fill percentage of the box.
A “seed” button allows the porosities to be randomly rearranged within the box. [...] Read more |
