A new scanning speed feature in TraiNDE UT!

In its latest patch, version 1.4.7, TraiNDE UT includes a new feature to measure the scanning speed of the inspector.

Indeed, procedures or standards often require to scan the probe with a limited speed for manual UT in order to maximize the capacity of detection. Up to now, no solution were capable of evaluating the scanning speed for manual UT.

This new « scanning speed » feature has been added to the zone coverage tool. On top of the virtual mock-up image, TraiNDE UT displays the zone covered at an appropriate speed with respect to the trainers’ specifications. A score also provides the average scanning speed, the maximum speed and the percentage of zone covered at the appropriate speed.

This is another use case where TraiNDE can help to « see the invisible », and provides a feature to enhance NDT training efficiency!
