The EXTENDE Inc. team is growing
Join us in welcoming Jimmy Sabin to our office in Newport News, Virginia, U.S.A., where he joins our team as a Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer. Jimmy graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He brings with him 7 years of experience in project management and sensor manufacturing including piezoelectric sensors used in both industrial and medical ultrasound applications.
When asked why he’s excited to become part of the team, Jimmy says:
“It is one thing to observe certain details of materials, but when there are anomalies, features, or defects past what you can initially observe, finding ways to capture and simulate that is fascinating to me.
With the programs and line of work that EXTENDE functions with, identifying and investigating those anomalies is not only interesting, but important to the end user to understand for their end-goal applications.
I’m excited to join the team because it gives me a chance to better understand materials and the nondestructive testing (NDT) methods used to investigate their properties while also providing the opportunity to train and demonstrate what EXTENDE’s software capabilities are.”
He will support our customers across the United States and Canada in implementing CIVA and TraiNDE solutions that best meet their NDE needs.
We welcome his input and expertise, knowing it will provide us with a fresh perspective as we seek new and innovative ways to solve today’s NDT challenges, thus making the world a safer place.
