Corner echoes are widely used in NDT for surface breaking cracks detection in metallic components subject to fatigue and/or corrosion stress cracking. The use of simulations to assess and optimize the detectability of such cracks is of great interest and support for industries.
This section provides validation arguments of CIVA for UT corner echoes computation. The CIVA predictions obtained for these echoes are compared with experimental results and discussed.
